I am a Canadian artist currently residing in the South of France. I focus on the simplicity of everyday moments, recognizing that embracing the present is my pathway to peace and play—an anchor for my sense of stability.

What I choose as a subject is primarily taken from mundane moments of the everyday, the act of washing dishes with a sponge, or the scraping of a spoon against a coffee cup- these things become anchors in a sea of uncertainty. These are the small, tangible details that ground me amidst the overwhelming complexities. As my artistic journey unfolds, the significance of mundane moments and objects and their connection with my personal narrative continues to evolve.

Through the examination of colour relationships and mark-making, I discover a semblance of control, grounding, and tranquility amidst tumultuous narratives. This process encourages a reflection on seemingly inconspicuous details, providing a connection with the self and fostering a sense of calm.

In essence, my art is a celebration of simplicity and an acknowledgment of the power embedded in the seemingly insignificant fragments of our lives. It invites viewers to reflect on the value of these small details, offering a reprieve from the larger, more tumultuous narratives that shape our world. In the midst of chaos, my work becomes a call to find solace, grounding, and personal agency in the ordinary.
